Date/Time Properties

You can use the following standard formats for Date/Time fields by selecting them from the Format properties list box :

DATE
General Date
Displays the date or time depending on your entry. If you entered only a time, the date is not displayed.
Long Date
Displays the date with the day of the week and the month written out, for example, Tuesday, September 6, 1994
Medium Date
Displays the date with the name of the month abbreviated and placed between the day and the year, for example, 06-Sep-94.
Short Date
Displays the date as numbers separated by slashes, for example, 9/6/94.
TIME
Long Time
Displays the time as hours, minutes, and seconds separated by colons and followed by AM or PM, for example, 2:45:26 PM.
Medium Time
Displays the time in hour and minutes, separated by a colon and followed by AM or PM, for example, 2:45 PM.
Short Time
Displays hours and minutes as a 24 hour clock, for example, 14:45.
