How would you make a copy of the design of a table without the
data?
Sometimes it would be useful to save time and not having to go
through the design process. If there is a table that contains a
similar design that you would like to use, you could copy the design
and adjust it accordingly to your needs. Follow these steps.
| 1) |
Open the table that you want to copy in design
view. |
| 2) |
Go to File, Save As |
| 3) |
Change the name of the table so that you don't
overwrite your original table |
| 4) |
Click on OK. |
| 5) |
Close your table. |
| 6) |
If you take a look at the database window the
new table will be there. If you open it, you will see that the
design is going to be exactly the same like the other table
that you have. However, it will contain no data. |
